Hiking up mountain Esja

Here’s what’s going to happen

There´s no better way to see Reykjavik than by a beautiful hiking to the top of mountain Esja close to Reykjavik. It gives a stunning panoramic views – Kodak moment – over Reykjavik. Mt. Esja is a 914 meters high and the ascent is a relatively easy, approximately a 90-120 min hike. You should also be able to sneak a peak at the Snæfellsjökull glacier – the Jule Vern´s gate to the center of the earth. The group of 2 to 10 people will meet at 17:00 at the meeting point (the parking lot) at the roots of Mt. Esja and it should be around 90-120 min walk up and down.

Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, gloves and headwear. Good hiking shoes are vital! The age limit is 12 years old

The cost is ISK 9500
